Courses

 

I hold one and two day group courses for beginners to advanced basket makers.


I also do private tuition and vocational courses if you wish to take basket making to the next level.


The courses start at 09.30 until 16.30, tools, tea, coffee and 'posh' biscuits will be provided, please bring a packed lunch.


You will never leave with an unfinished basket.

One day course: £60 + £10 materials

During a one day course you will make a small round basket using traditional English and French techniques.

 


Two day course: £120

During a two day course you will make small round basket using traditional English and French techniques on the first day. The second day you will have a choice of making either a round or oval basket with handle or a basket of your choice.

 


Private tuition

Private tuition costs £170 per day- this is a day of one to one tuition designed to hone your techniques and improve you as a basket maker.

 


Sculptures

Sculptures can be made on any of the basket courses that are held throughout the year.If you wish to make a sculpture please contact me prior to the course as extra materials may need to be prepared and a small extra fee may be added to the material costs.  Chickens, ducks and pigs are a good first sculpture.

All courses will be held at Admaston village hall situated in the heart of the Staffordshire countryside overlooking Blithfield Reservoir.
